Commes des Garcons Wonderwood is a woody fragrance for men introduced in 2010. It includes all the wood notes plus some spices to liven things up such as Madagascan pepper, incense and nutmeg. What it smells like mostly is – you guessed it – wood: deep, dense wood charred but not quite smoky. The early stages of the fragrance are peppery and then there is a faint swirl of incense. Later it is smoother and more intense and smells like all the woods with some earthy patchouli underneath.
Encre Noire by Lalique was created in 2006. An earthy magnetic woodsy fragrance that will give you great pleasure to experience.
It is a dark, dramatic men’s fragrance, literally named after “black ink,” which you won’t want to give up. It will capture your attention and keep it.
Top notes of vetiver and cypress immediately draw you into the woodsy appeal of this fragrance. The heart is comprised of both Haitian and bourbon vetiver notes, which fade into earthy bottom notes of musk and cashmere wood.

Comme Des Garcons Wonderoud by Comme des Garcons came out in 2014 and has an extremely rich character that is uncompromising and lavish.
Luxurious notes are used to create the one-of-a-kind scent. It is a fragrance built around one ingredient, oud, but the result is wonderfully complex.
This scent features oud, the resin produced by agarwood, but it rounds out its woody notes with Texas cedarwood, Australian sandalwood and guaiac wood.
Other notes from the forest include vetiver and patchouli which give the upper notes of wood some roots and the earthy aromas that accompany them.
The sweetness of the wood hints at a rosy floral note without giving way to an entire bouquet.
